Here at Brightstarters we believe that play is a child's work. After all play is how a child learns in the first years of life (and beyond); it is how they interpret the world around them, understand faces and peoples emotions; build their self-esteem and confidence; find out how their bodies and other objects work as well as a plethora of other important issues depending on the type of play carried out.
All our classes are based on playing, having fun with particular focus on those skills needed to read, write and communicate with the world. Written by Early Years Experts (teachers, musicians and language specialists) all our clases have been designed around the National Curriculum, National Literacy Strategy and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Every class includes singing, dancing, movement, parachute play, music, craft activities, stories, phonetics, word games and drama. We use a huge range of resources including instruments, bean bags, hoops, dolls, puppets, story boards, craft equipment, sensory equipment as well as specifically designed literacy resources such as specially designed activity books, reading books and literacy games (such as bingo, word snap).

Bright Explorers Stage 1
30mths - 5yrs
The age ranges of each stage are only given as a guide as we recognise that development in children does not happen as a smooth curve but a series of jerks, steps and even backward movement. Your local tutor wil happily discuss with you which class would suit your child the best.
